Lego Christmas Models

Christmas, Santa Claus

The first model is the sleigh that Santa rides in delivering the presents. It took about 15 minutes to make, and needs about over 70 pieces to build.

 Featured image

I enjoyed making it but the most difficult part was making Rudolph because I had to find the right pieces. We are currently making a house for St Nick to visit and it will take a long time. We are going to make more Christmas models like a giant snowman, Christmas trees and lots more! Enjoy the first few.

Thank you

Merry Christmas

How Santa Delivers Presents

Christmas, Santa Claus

Santa has to get to places quick to deliver the presents but how does he do it?

People think that magical reindeer pull his sleigh across the moonlit sky the names of these reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolf .

Everyone has their own traditional image of Santa’s sleigh, but could there be more to it than just a sled and a team of reindeer?

People think it is to do with science and technology but others think he doesn’t exist!

I’ve seen images of Santa’s sleigh with rocket boosters but I don’t think he has them on.

Santa carries a big sack full of presents but how does he fit them all in one big sack, it probably is magic.

Here is how Santa does it:

  • Goes around the world
  • Lands on your houses roof
  • Squeezes down your chimney (if you have one!)
  • Puts your gifts under your Christmas tree
  • Eats the mince pies
  • Goes back up your chimney
  • Sets off delivering presents to the houses he needs to do

That is how St Nick delivers the presents

About the movies:

1 is about 4 kids, who plan to catch Santa Claus using technology, traps and much more. This movie inspires me and my brother to capture St Nick on Christmas Eve / Day. Last Christmas me and my brother tried but all we found was a sleighs shadow in our back garden and bells jingling. In the end, Santa’s sleigh breaks down and the kids help, but because of them seeing Santa the Christmas magic reduces and they have to delete every bit of data before it’s too late!

2 is very similar to no.3 because it has a snowman and a boy, who see Santa at night but in this one he builds a snow dog and they both come to life. In the end of both movies, the Snowman / Snow dog melts. Its a sad and happy Christmas film.

4 (because done both 2 and 3) is about what Santa does before and after Christmas like reading the children’s mail sent to him from different countries, making and packing the toys into his sack, fixing his sleigh, buying his costume then he can relax and enjoy a perfect holiday of fun. In this hilarious movie, Santa is very grumpy so do not believe that he is in real life.

5 is a bit scary and very enjoyable! Tim Burton-created, Henry Selick-directed stop-motion classic about a Halloween takeover of Christmas, which is usually the first yuletide movie everybody watches in the run-up to 25 December. Mainly because you can also watch it on 31 October.

6 is about the McCallister family Christmas holiday checklist: tickets – check. Presents – check. Children – oh, bugger. Don’t worry, folks. Abandoned Kevin (Macauley Culkin) is too busy reinventing Christmas as a child’s playground of bed jumping and burglar bashing.

7 is a Dr. Seuss’ fable about a misanthropic creature (Jim Carrey) who plots to steal the Christmas gifts from the inhabitants of Whoville. The Grinch is a nasty green creature who lives inside a cave atop Mount Crumpit, overlooking the village of Whoville. As the Whos of Whoville frantically prepare for their yuletide celebrations, the Grinch decides to put a stop to Christmas once and for all, and steals all their presents and decorations on Christmas Eve… only to finally come to learn that the true spirit of Christmas goes deeper than tinsel and toys.

8 is Robert Zemeckis brings his mo-cap expertise to bear in the ingenious decision to have Jim Carrey play the three ghosts as well as Ebenezer Scrooge. A lifetime of memory condensed into one stunning 12-minute take, as the Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge what he gave up in pursuit of wealth.

9 It doesn’t matter whether it’s 19th Century London or 1980s Manhattan, there will always be humbugs like Frank Cross (Bill Murray) who need to have their worldview changed by the Christmas ghosts. Frank goes mad with joy, live on air, by preaching to his audience to switch off their sets and spend Christmas with their loved ones.

10 See, this is what happens when you ask for an unusual Christmas present – a horde of malicious critters destroying your picture-postcard town. Moral of the story: shop at Argos next year. Where else is the final battle between cuddly Mogwai Gizmo and chief Gremlin Stripe going to take place at this time of year? In a department store, as would-be stocking fillers are put to uses their manufacturers never anticipated.

Those are some of my favourite movies but there are more like Get Santa, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Bad Santa and lots more, but it’s up to you what movie you watch on Christmas Eve near your warm fire place relaxing before a visit from St Nick!

Merry Christmas

Christmas Songs

Santa Claus

1. ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ by Mariah Carey

This song just brings everyone together as a family.

2. ‘Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ by Gene Autry

This song is one of my favourites because it tells my brain that Santa’s reindeer are going to eat my left out carrots. Even though I don’t like cooked carrots, it doesn’t mean I don’t like them raw!

3. ‘Frosty the Snowman’ by Gene Autry

This song reminds me of when it snows and building snowmen.

4. ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ by Gene Autry

I like this song because it makes me believe more about Santa coming, which also puts a smile on everyone’s face!

5. ‘Jingle Bells’ by Tom Roush

I like this song because it makes me think of Santa delivering presents to me, my family, friends and others!

10 things you need to do to catch Santa Claus!

Santa Claus

Hi I’m Scarlett and this is my first ever blog. I’m 10 years old and I love Christmas that much that I thought I would create Christmas Crackerz!

Because I love Christmas so much I want to try and catch Santa Claus! Here are my 10 things you need to do to catch him!

 1. Staying awake…

  • Drink mango juice.
  • Eat tomatos and ham sandwiches.

 2. Go to the toilet!

  • You don’t want to wet yourself. (It’ll waste time getting dressed again! What if you miss seeing Santa!?)
  • Don’t be too long on the toilet!.

 3. Cameras…

  • Put the camera in the Christmas tree – Tip: If your camera has a flashing light on it – usually red – it probably would be best so it blends in with fairy lights.
  • If you want you could even buy a tube camera to fit into a smarties packet!

 4. Time 4 the team!

  • You can do it in a team, partners or you could just do it on your own. It’s your choice but partners are best.

 5. Bored?

  • If you get bored you,ve got to make the cookies!
  • Set up Santa’s snack (milk and cookies). Why not?
  • Sit/Walk outside – Tip: Stay as close to your house as possible.

 6. Microphones…

  • Use an ear microphone to hear what other people are saying on your team.

 7. Catch Santa!

  • Lock all windows, front door, back door, and make sure the fire is put out so he can come in – but when he tries to escape turn the fire on again.
Once he is trapped, hide behind the tree and record him!

 8. Distraction…

  • Now to distract Santa you will need to write a long letter and put it next to the cookies and milk. Then you will need to turn the flash off your camera and take plenty of photos and videos.
  • Lock him in that room …
  • Then hide!

 9. To make this work…

  • You NEED to be a good boy/girl! (Didn’t expect that did you?)

 10. Post online so people believe in Christmas magic again!

  • Post on YouTube and subscribe and like my website/videos!

You have caught Santa Claus! Well Done!!!

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed my first ever blog post. Have you ever seen Santa or have you got any tips to add? Write a comment using the comments box below!
